Gallant Entertainment is a full-service
production company formed in 1992 to produce feature
films, television projects, documentary and educational
series. Michael O. Gallant, the company principal, has
produced over 40 projects that have won 10 Emmys, 5
Golden Globes, and 3 DGA Awards.

Gallant Entertainment, in association
with Universal Television and Richard Maynard Productions,
produced the critically-acclaimed musical/drama "Stompin'
At the Savoy". Directed by Debbie Allen,
Savoy tells the story of four Harlem domestics in 1939
who meet each Friday night at the famous Savoy Ballroom.
The film stars Vanessa Williams, Lynn Whitfield, Jasmine
Guy, Vanessa Bell Caloway, and Mario Van Peebles. Shot
in Wilmington, North Carolina, on a very challenging
budget, Savoy accurately re-created period Harlem in
all its glory.

Gallant Entertainment, also for Universal,
produced the re-union telefilm "Bionic
Ever After". It brought together stars Lee
Majors, the "Six Million
Dollar Man", and Lindsay Wagner, the "Bionic
Woman". Charleston, South Carolina became
settings such as Washington, DC, Europe, and Nassau.
It was one of the highest-rated films of it's season.

In
the area of educational documentaries, Gallant Entertainment
produces the series "Journeys
Below the Line". Created by Bruce Bilson
and produced in association with the Academy of Television
Arts and Sciences Foundation. This groundbreaking, behind-the-scenes
series highlights the variety of exciting careers in
production.
"Journeys", given
unprecedented access, goes to the sets, production offices,
locations scouts, and post suites of high-quality hit
television series and highlights one particular department
on each show. The audience meets the talented professionals
who contribute their skills to the process. We find
out what their journey was to this point. For film and
television students, Journeys represents a uniquely
informative educational tool.
Each DVD is produced in two versions: the consumer version
with the main program and bonus features and the educational
version including a CD-Rom with extensive background
material, notes, and sample tests intended as curriculum
companions for college-level production classes. The
project is available through First Light Video, the
country's largest educational distributor.
